Playing church to me, means being holy on Sunday but acting a fool Monday-Saturday. I notice that some people now what to say, quote scripture, and act saved when around other christians. But when it come to every day life, do what they want. People are Christian when its convevient for them and do not make christianity a life style. I know that Christain walk can be tough but I think we should be honest about our stuggles and not put up fronts.
This is a very interesting issue that you have raised. Unfortunately it is not only Christians doing acting in these ways...looking around through my society, family and friends i noticed that individuals regardless of faith or ethnicity do the same exact thing. They act holy and pure on the day of spiritual service yet on other days act according to what benefits them more.
It is truly sad to see faith being used in ways such as this. hopefully one day we can be true bleivers and stop pretending.
Persian Diva, your comments are well-appreciated and well-taken. I had not considered the issues surrounding other faiths/beliefs nor has anyone ever raised those concerns to me before. I would be quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the subject. I must agree with your closing comments in that hopefully one day we can become true believers and stop pretending.

You've raised some interesting points, Prov 31 woman. I have seen those same instances myself. When will we stop playing church?
